Q)
Do you guarantee that my site will come
up #1 in the search engines ?
A) No. We do not guarantee
that your site will come up #1,though
many of our clients do achieve top 10
rankings. Search engines change their
algorithms on how they rank or index sites,
and we do not have any control over this.
Q)
Will I receive a submission report once
my site has been submitted?
A) Yes. We will provide
you a submission report on completion
of your site submission.
Q)
How long does it take before my Web site
gets listed?
A) Even though the
server immediately sends your Web page
information to the server of the search
engines and directories, it takes between
one day and six weeks for your submission
to become a listing. Usually, AltaVista
and InfoSeek take only a few days to index
your page. Most listings, however, will
take several weeks, because search engines
receive many submissions every day.
Q)
How will I know if my site has been listed?
A) Some directories
will send you an e-mail confirming your
request. This is not a guarantee that
your site has been listed. The best way
to confirm your listing is to go to the
search engine and search for your site.
Note: It
often takes a few weeks for a listing
to make it into a search engine.
Q)
Why do you only support 50 search engines?
I've seen other companies advertising
that they'll submit my site to 1,500 search
engines?
A) Our research has
shown that 95% of all Internet search
traffic comes from the 50 largest search
engines. The rest of the search engines
generate such a small amount of traffic
that they're generally not even worth
bothering with. In fact, many of them
are nothing but a scam. When you submit
your site to them, they require you to
also give them your email address. Then
they add your address to their SPAM lists
and pretty soon you're getting tons of
junk email, but no web traffic. We only
deal with the largest name brand search
engines that have the potential to generate
huge amounts of traffic for your site.
Q)
What is a meta tag?
A) A META tag is an
item in your HTML code that aids some
search engines in listing your site properly.
META tags provide these search engines
with the title, description, and keywords
of each page on your site.
Q)
Do I need meta tags?
A) Yes. These tags
help some search engines with placement.
Without these tags, your site would not
rank nearly as well.
Q)
Why should I submit my web site more then
one time?
A) Your site may be
bumped down by new sites or completely
removed at any time. Although search engines
are getting more reliable, they still
may lose your information from time to
time. Also changes to your site may not
get noted in listings if site is not submitted
regularly.
Q)
What are the keyword and description guidelines?
A) All keywords submitted
must be relevant to the content on your
site. Words not relevant to your site
will be disregarded and must be replaced.
Descriptions 20 words or less that describe
your web sites content, products, or services
are most effective. Space filler, slogans,
or phrases like "guaranteed overnight
delivery" are not recommended.
Q)
How often should I resubmit my site?
A) Our suggestion is
that you can submit your web site up to
1 time per month to the major search engines,
and then up to 1 time per day to the FFA's
and smaller directories. If you submit
your site to the entire database at least
1 time per month, you will keep your site
active with the search engines and increase
or maintain your engine positions.
Q)
How long does it take for the search engines
to list my site?
A) After the initial
submission of your site, addition of your
listing is entirely up to that particular
search engine or directory. Some pages
are automated and will add your site almost
instantly. Some sites send a "spider"
to index your site within a few weeks.
Some sites can take 6 weeks or longer
and some may fail to list your site. This
is a good reason to resubmit your site
monthly.
Q)
Why promote our website?
A) Increasingly more
people are using internet search engines
in preference to printed directories so
it is essential that if you want to keep
a share of any new business you should
make sure your website is listed on search
engines and to benefit fully your website
must be listed on the first page.
Q)
How much does it cost?
A) Search Engine Submission
- a month per URL Website Promotion -
a month per Keyword
All fees plus Vat at %
Minimum contract months
Consultancy, In-House Training, Courses
etc, Prices on application.
Q)
What about frames? I've heard that search
engines have a hard time listing web pages
with frames?
A) It's true, search
engines have a difficult time indexing
web pages with frames. Try to stay away
from frames if at all possible. If you
are determined to used frames, DO NOT
use them on your home page, and possibly
a couple of other web pages so that you
leave some web pages that are easy for
the search engines to index!
Q)
What is the difference between Website
Promotion and Search Engine Submission?

is a service that Guarantees that your
Website is submitted to every major search
engine in the world and hundreds of others
too. Guaranteed Website Promotion does
the same thing but also guarantees that
